I’m finally on my Holiday Break! After I faced the wrath of the so-called prelim exam, I can finally take a break and do whatever I want! Of course that includes anime marathons!!!
I’m really looking forward for this because I have lots of plan. As we all know, this season is finally coming to its end as well as some of the interesting animes out there. Honestly, I tried every first episodes of some of them and decided to reserve some for anime marathoning. That includes Chuu2Koi, Sakurasou, Shinsekai Yori, Zetsuen no Tempest and Magi. I regret doing it. It seems like everyone is so hyped about them and I can’t relate with them. The only anime I am up to date with is Tonari, K and Sword Art Online, with the first two as my episodic review piece. So with my 12-day break, I’ll try marathoning some of them. Maybe I’ll try posting a review about them. Who knows?
I also started reading Naruto manga. I’m on chapter 360+ so 200+ chapters to go. I can do it right? right?
So up next is the winter season. I took a quick look on them and found myself wanting to watch only a few of them. Maybe its fewer than the fall season. Anyway, first thing I look for is the quality of the art and character designs. If it is good, it’s definitely on my plan to watch list. Then the plot comes next. I dunno. But I’m like that.
So here’s my little list.
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Dai 2-ki
I watched the first season and found it really funny and likeable. I’m not that into harem but putting different and interesting characters made it special to me. Wonder what the second season will offer.
Vivid Red Operation
An original Sci-Fi anime. Sci-fi is not my genre but I can bear watching one if it’s interesting. I’ll try this one since it’s quite popular in some forums. Oh, and the art! Aniplex and A-1 Pictures are producing this one right? Hmmm.
Savanna Game
The story follows a young man named Kazuya Shibuya who receives an anonymous email message out of the blue one day: “Won’t you join the Savanna Game?” The message is an invitation to a state-sanctioned killing game—a deadly role-playing game designed to motivate the inhibited youth of modern Japan. Shibuya and his two friends Kotegawa and Kudou find themselves in bizarre battles that span the space-time continuum, with everything from dragons to the Shinsengumi force of the shogunate era.
Gosh. Does anyone have the mirai nikki feeling like me? Pink hair. Death game. Gonna watch it! However, death game animes are quite in right now huh?
Amnesia
On the morning of August 1, the heroine wakes up and discovers she has absolutely no memories of the past. A boy appears before her, and introduces himself as a “spirit” named Orion. The heroine struggles to regain her memories under the guidance of Orion. She then gets a phone call, but she does not recognize the name on her mobile phone screen. She meets her apparent “boyfriend,” despite not knowing his face.
Reverse Harem. I’ll try this one too.
Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru
Eita enters high school aiming for the National University School of Medicine. Because of his parents’ divorce—and his goal—he shuns anything to do with romance or love. One day Masuzu, the school beauty with the silver hair, who has just returned to the country, enters his life in a most unexpected way. Chiwa, his childhood friend since elementary school, will not let this go without a fight.
I’m attracted with its character design though I’ll definitely forget its title. I’m telling you!
Yama no Susume
The title tells the story of the childhood friends Aoi, a girl who prefers staying inside and who has acrophobia, and Hinata, a girl who loves mountains. The two decide to climb a mountain in order to once again see the morning sun from its peak as they did when they were young.
The plot looks simple. Climbing up the mountain and then what? Sometimes there’s more to it than what is written so I might check out what will happen.
Tamako Market
Tamako is a mochi-loving high-school freshman whose family runs a mochi (rice cake) shop in a certain town’s shopping district. She enjoys her high school life with her friends Midori and Kanna in the badminton club. She also helps out at her family’s shop and develops new mochi.
Same character design as Kokoro Connect and K-On. Might watch this one.
Anyone excited for this season? Hope it will be a good one.
and oh…
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
