Hello!
You may have noticed the lack of activity on this blog for the past few months. Well, April and May are my only “free” months. However, during those times, I was marathoning a lot of shows and I was also on my manga-reading spree. Not to mention, I started playing Persona 3 Portable (I haven’t finished it yet *sighs*). I dedicated a lot of my time to those things since I have been busy during the last semester.
Since the new term has already started, I will be busy once again so you can expect less updates from me. Although I really want to start writing episodic posts again, it’ll be impossible for me right now. I wouldn’t elaborate anymore since I’ve been complaining on twitter already.
Okay, enough with that. I will now present my Summer anime menu to all of you! I haven’t done any research or anything regarding which show is good or what. It all boils down to my gut feelings… plus the social media hype!
Out of all these, I’m only familiar with Love Stage!! and DRAMAtical Murder. Did you spot the similarity? LOL. I’m not particularly a fan of LS manga since I find the story quite “corny” by my BL standards. I just love the art style because the characters are all yummy.
As for DMMd, after playing it for almost a year, I still haven’t finished it! And there’s still the re:connect! It’s not THAT bad but it’s boring for the most part. Anyway, I’d like to see how the anime will ruin the game.
Glasslip is an anime original right? Since I really love Nagi No Asukara, another P. A. Work’s original, I’ll definitely check this out.
And since I miss my seasonal dose of shoujo, Ao Haru Ride is definitely on my menu next season. Now, I just wish that Hirunaka no Ryuusei will follow!
As for the others, yeah, I love the cover.
I really wonder how the new season of Kuroshitsuji will connect on that mess-of-a-second season it had. But never mind that, I want to see that cute shota once again. And oh, I wouldn’t forget that sexy butler 😉
Hamatora ended, literally, with a bang. I’m really curious as to what happened to my ship. I was really happy to know that “he” is alive but, omygosh, I don’t want him to live as the villain. But let’s see…
As for Sword Art Online 2, yeah. I enjoyed SAO for the most part so checking out the new season won’t hurt.
Last but not the least, another season of Free!! is always welcome! I heard another guy will appear? SHIPSHIPSHIP.
So that’s it for now. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to watch them with my busy schedule right now. Otherwise, I’ll just leave them for marathoning later on.
What can you say about the shows that I’ve picked? You can give me warnings/recommendations if you want.
And how about you? What are the shows that you are planning to watch next season? 🙂 ❤
Pretty list, for me this summer I’m excited only for SAO and maybe Free!!
Thanks!
I’m sure you’ll be able to find a lot more awesome shows to watch other SAO and Free. Now that you’ve seen my list, be excited for all of them! 😉
SAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀
I can feel your excitement 😀
Oh gosh yes. Nearly as excited as I am for the new Sailor Moon. x3
Wow awesome list.
Thank you! Why not share yours? 🙂
That’s an excellent idea
I’m particularly looking forward to Ao Haru Ride this coming season because shoujo romance seems to be missing these past seasons (orr maybe I’ just missing them… either way, I haven’t seen one in a pretty long time…)
AND THAT HAMATORA ENDING was just… ugh… when it ended I was like what the freak just happened!? I wasn’t a huge fan of Hamatora but that ending just made me interested in watching this.
I became interested with Ao Haru Ride because of its srt and designs. The show looks very lovely! If I’m not mistaken, same creator of HAL? It’s also quite popular on tumblr. Anyway, I agree with you on that. We are definitely lacking shoujo romances these days.
I’m not also a big fan of Hamatora but the show made me quite intrigued as to what was happening. The biggest factor though is inspector Art! Seeing him like that on the finale makes me so excited for the new season! 🙂
You should try gekkan shoujo nozaki kun. You read the manga. Its so funny
Spring’s been entertaining but summer looks very promising! Besides Free, SAO, and Kuroshitsuji, I’m also looking forward to some good ol’ action and psychological thriller (Tokyo Ghoul, Akame ga Kill, AldNoah.Zero).
I am most excited for Free! eternal Summer and Re: Hamatora. Really a fan of both.
Recently FUNimation here in North America licensed Free! Eternal Summer. They even got Black Butler 3: Book of Circus. Gad they did so now can watch and enjoy without having to worry over getting Aniplex USA’s expensive set of the series.
I am also looking forward Ao Haru Ride, Tokyo ESP, and Love Stage!! Seems we have very similiar tastes in anime 🙂
Cool!
I haven’t checked out a lot of shows on this list yet. I have a lot of things going on. But from what I can “feel”, this would be a good season. 🙂
Yeah seems like it is going to be a great summer anime season. I’m super thrilled 🙂
